Deotsidh (Baba Balak Nath Temple)

Located on the border of Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts, Deotsidh is a major pilgrimage center in northern India. It is famous for the cave shrine of Baba Balak Nath. Devotees believe that a sacred flame (“light of truth”) has been burning here for centuries, originally lit by the boy sage himself about 500 years ago.

Gasota Mahadev Temple

Situated approximately 8-9 km from Hamirpur on the Hamirpur-Jahu road, Gasota is home to a historic Lord Shiva temple estimated to be 400-500 years old. Legend has it that a farmer discovered a large Shiva Lingam while plowing his field, leading to the temple’s construction.

Overlooking the River Beas, Nadaun was once the summer retreat of the Katoch kings and the headquarters of the Nadaun Jagir. Sujanpur Tihra

Sujanpur Tihra is a town of immense historical significance, situated on the left bank of the River Beas. It was founded by Raja Abhay Chand of the Katoch dynasty in 1748 A.D. Later, in the early 19th century, Raja Sansar Chand transformed this fledgling township into his capital and a center of art and culture.
The town is famous for its massive Chaugan (ground), which is the largest in the state and serves as the venue for the famous four-day State Level Holi Fair. The town also houses the prestigious Sainik School. For history and art enthusiasts, the remnants of the old fort and palace offer a glimpse into the past.
